About Peace & Freedom Press

We are publishers of poetry, art, short stories, essays, reviews, and articles relevant to our individual publications. We published two magazines - PEACE & FREEDOM, established in 1985, and EASTERN RAINBOW, established in 1992

PEACE & FREEDOM has an emphasis on social, humanitarian and environmental issues. EASTERN RAINBOW featured material relating to the 20th Century culture. PEACE & FREEDOM had been mentioned on BBC RADIO 1 and BBC RADIO 2.

We will be looking at receiving submissions again in 2023. Poetry should not exceed 32 lines, short stories/articles should not exceed 500 words. Artwork should be b/w and not exceed 6" x 4". We welcome interviews of animal welfare/environmental/human rights campaigners, writers, poets, artists, film, music and TV personalities as well. Word limit for interviews is 1,000 words. Photos to accompany text, if possible. Preferably b/w. Book/record/gig/film reviews, not exceeding 50 words are welcome, too.

Both magazines had an international readership and between them have featured: MARTIN LUTHER KING, WILFRED OWEN, DAVID BOWIE, DR. WHO, GEORGE ORWELL, GEORGE BEST, PAUL McCARTNEY, KURT COBAIN, SYD BARRETT, NICK BERRY, CHUMBAWAMBA, STAR TREK, THE PRISONER, HENRY NORMAL, THE LONG RYDERS, VLADIMIR MYAKOWSKY, THE ICICLE WORKS, MARILYN MONROE, ELVIS PRESLEY, P.P.
